Marc Dubois (°1950) reçoit le Prix du RIBA International Honorary Fellows 2021.

Le RIBA / Royal Institute of British Architects de Londres est l’une des associations architecturales les plus anciennes et les plus prestigieuses d’Europe (1834). Depuis 1848, un prix pour l’ensemble de ses réalisations, la «Médaille d’or royale», est décerné par le chef de l’État britannique sur recommandation du RIBA.

Depuis 2006, le RIBA a également décerné chaque année un certain nombre de distinctions à des personnes qui apportent une contribution importante pour donner au design et à l’architecture une plus grande image sociale. Photographes, conservateurs, auteurs et critiques d’architecture ont reçu ce prix dans le passé. La cérémonie aura lieu à Londres en 2021.

Selon le comité du RIBA, « Marc Dubois is an eminent critic and lecturer on architecture in Belgium. Having written for most of the leading architectural journals in Europe during his career, he is an influential figure on the international architecture scene. Marc’s focus has always been outward-looking, promoting the unique values of contemporary Flemish architecture. He is credited for helping to create the conditions that enabled many famous architecture practices of today to grow and flourish. His tireless international networking, promotion, documentation and critical reflection has transformed and re-positioned the country’s architecture. »
